As the sun sets on the twentieth century and the dawn of a new century quickly approaches, it is the Church that faces the greatest challenge. How will we continue and in some cases begin to translate and carry on God's agenda, and deposit God's Word, Will, and Way in the earth? While God is calling and ushering in change throughout the Church, the Church is challenged to respond to His call.
While it is clear that a paradigm shift is taking place, many have yet to hear what the Spirit is truly saying to the Church. But to those who have an ear to hear, it is evident that God is calling His church to order, and that the bridegroom cometh quickly.
As we approach a new place in history and await the soon return of our Lord, it is incumbent upon the Church to offer and support holistic ministry that focuses on both the internal development of the church as well as the external commitment of the church to its community. With this in mind and recognizing that many Pastors, ministries and church leaders often return from conferences unfulfilled,
Dr. David M. Copeland, through God inspired vision, established the Taking the Kingdom by Force Conference (TKBF).
The TKBF conference was designed to serve, empower, and inform church leaders for effective twenty-first century ministry.
The Conference focuses on the following areas: Godly Vision, Educational Excellence, Economic Empowerment, Communal Accountability and World Wide Evangelism.
In June of 1996, churches from across the nation sensing the mounting spiritual momentum gathered at New Creation Christian Fellowship for the third annual TKBF conference, which focused on Economic Empowerment.
Under the leadership of Dr. Copeland, those who had come to the conference as advisors and participants came together to discuss forming an organization. The pastors and ministers unanimously agreed that they should establish an organization and that Dr. David M. Copeland should lead them. During this time, Dr. Copeland was elected as bishop of the newly formed organization.
This organization would not only provide fellowship for Christian pastors, ministers, and leaders, but also education and training, and an opportunity that very few other organizations or conferences offer- the chance to work collectively to make an economic impact in the earth so that the Kingdom of God might be further advanced. Thus, the Kingdom Council of Interdependent Christian Churches and Ministries ("the Council") was birthed.

The purpose of the Council is twofold. The Council exist to (1) provide Ecclesiastical covering and fellowship and (2) promote the goal of economic empowerment through its member churches and ministries.
The Council will accomplish these goals by providing education and training and technical assistance in the areas of resource and project development.
The action and passion of God discloses in the life of Jesus is the paradigm for the ministry of the church. What God has done through Jesus Christ once and for all in the historical and cultural context of His day for one particular people, the church must do today among all people. The church exists, to translate and carry on God's agenda, and to deposit God's Word, Will and Way in the earth.

Dr. Copeland felt led to form this organization out of his desire to be to others what they had not been to him. His desire is to make a deposit in the lives of Pastors, ministers, and church leaders by providing insight and guidance and sharing the lessons he has learned from both his success and his failures in ministry.

The Council exists to assist the local church in TAKING the Kingdom by FORCE. Whether its management and administration, economic development or principles that will enable a church to become debt free, the Council exist to make it happen.
I believe that what God has done through Jesus Christ, the Church of God can and must do among all people as we enter the twenty-first century.
